A little known early knick name our mother used to call Tom.
A character form Pogo comic srtrip. A baby that spoke gibberish.
I think he got the name cause they both like to bite people.
Perhaps Dad can confirm?

Tom was apt to chomp on an available shoulder or body part, tho without malice. Pogo was very popular and easily evoked images of Grundoon firmly attached to one or another of the swamp denizens. His biting didn't last too long since more dangerous habits opened up.
ReplyDeleteNot only did Tom like to bite body parts, he liked to bite his fingernails. He would chew them so low that it would be impossible for him to get anymore nail off of them. So at one point he informed me that my index fingernails were his. He would grab my hand and start trying to chew my nails. I wasn't keen on this and he gave up shortly after he began. But it always amused me that he would even try this. He chewed his toe nails when he could reach them. If only he had stopped all of the behavior I wasn't keen on so quickly.
