We were able to skype the whole thing to Moire. Which I know made me feel much better.
I think it was great for her too to be able to be here in some fashion.
Martha made a great slideshow which is on utube, of pictures of his life. See Tom's life in pictures post below for the link. We had pictures up everywhere.
I am sure we will post pictures from the memorial soon. I also made a slide show of our trip to Mexico if there is interest I can talk to Martha about putting it on utube as well.
Thank you so much to everyone who came and shared and traveled far to console us.- p
I would totally enjoy a slide-show of your Mexico trip. I just want to thank you so very, very much for the beautiful memorial for Tom; I miss him every day and all our hearts are broken. My thoughts are with you, his family. I cannot imagine your pain. We love him with you, we miss him with you. I'll be thinking of him on his birthday and again at the 45 day mark this Friday. xoxo
ReplyDeleteTo all of you who joined us in the memorial and/or who posted on the blog, many thanks for helping our family through the dark times. Thanks to family friends who are there when needed. Special thanks to the many friends of Tom from the 12- step programs who were eloquent in their regard and appreciation for Tom's many years of serving and being served by the program. So many of you have told of having your life saved or salvaged through his help. Tom, in turn, had equally high regard for your impact on his life.
ReplyDeleteI was overwhelmed with the love and affection of the many childhood friends of Tom and his siblings who gathered from great distances to join us in mourning his passing and celebrating his intensely lived time with us. I now know how lucky they were to have had you as friends then and through the years. I was deeply touched by your expressions of love and generosity in easing our pain. I love you all and wish you well.
